Our Policies

Cancellation Policy

When we schedule you, you are put into our weekly/monthly etc schedule, and we do not take more business if it conflicts with your day and time. So we have cancellation fees because when/if someone cancels it costs us time and money.

If you cancel with us more than 48 hours (2 full business days) in advance of your scheduled time you will NOT be charged any fees.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours, but more than 24 hours (1 full business day) of your clean, you will be charged with $50 per scheduled cleaner.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled clean, will be charged with the full price.

Holiday Rates

If your current reoccurring services fall on any of the following holidays, we will notify you and give you the option to reschedule to a date within 7 days before or after that holiday date. If you desire to keep your scheduled clean on the holiday date, the holiday rate will be applied to that service.

Holiday rate is 1.5 times your reoccurring rate per service.

  • New Year’s Day

  • Easter

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • The day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday)

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

    If you decide you would like to cancel/skip any services that fall on any of the holidays above, please request or respond 48 hours (2 business days)or more in advance of scheduled service and you will not be charged any fees.

Alarm Systems/Keys

We take great care to ensure that our staff and clients are comfortable with how alarm systems and the possession of keys are treated. The best procedure for the client is paramount, whether that be making a unique code for us to use, having a key made, etc.

Unless it has been prearranged, we do not let people in when we are at a job for the safety of your home/office and the safety of our staff.

If we have not been updated with a current key/pass code, and any alarms are set off, Hello Sunshine Eco Cleaning is not held responsible for paying fees or charges associated with alarms.

If it has been prearranged that the residence be left unlocked or a spare key be left, Hello Sunshine Eco Cleaning is not responsible or liable for any property damage or theft that may occur due to other people having access to the residence that day.

Supplies

We bring all our own cleaners and tools…

(1) We have put our products and tools to the test, and we are trained in their proper use!

(2) It frees you from having to keep track of what we need before your scheduled cleaning.

  If you have something you would like us to use in place of our product, we are open to that, so long as it does not expose us or our employees to harmful vapors, liquids etc. Let us know if this applies to you, as per OSHA regulations, we are required to have Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals we use.

Ladders

We do use a 2-step ladder as needed, But we are unable to use client ladders or climb higher than two steps. We can reach up to two-stories with our extension pole duster so we can get those higher, hard to reach areas.

Blinds

Blinds may need to be dusted/vacuumed before they are wiped; this always requires more time. This will be communicated to you if applicable. If blinds are very dirty, they may need to be taken down and cleaned; we do not take blinds out of windows!

Moving Furniture

We will move small furniture but unless otherwise decided (deep clean, move-out, move-in) we do not move refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, etc. However, we always clean whatever we see and can safely reach with our tools.

Pets

We love pets! We know that they are a part of your family. However, for us to work efficiently and safely, if your pet is out while we are working we ask that they be put in a different room or crate so they do not get under foot and any injury to your fur baby or ourselves is prevented.

Firearms

For our protection and yours, we ask that any firearms be put away in a cabinet, gun locker, or closet while we are cleaning. Make sure that any firearms under mattresses or in hidden locations be put away as well. We are very thorough and for everyones safety we don’t want to come across a loaded weapon while servicing your property. If there are firearms on display, we will not dust/clean them.

Insects

We will not provide cleaning to a space that is actively infested with termites, ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, etc. We will clean after the space has been completely treated and cleaned of treated bugs. We will contact you if bugs are encountered.

Locked Out

If we arrive at the scheduled time to your job and we can’t get in due to locked doors/wrong code/no ones home, you will be charged full price.

Damages and Accidents

If Hello Sunshine Eco cleaning is responsible for damage to your home/office or anything in your home/office we will contact you promptly and make every effort to repair/replace said items.

Items of monetary or sentimental value to the client should be put away on the day of cleaning and/or cleaned by the homeowner. (See next section on precious items)

Precious Items

If you have an item that has a monetary or sentimental valued at >1,000$, (i.e, items in display cabinets, shelves etc.) and we are asked to clean it, the following applies: You, the client, releases Hello Sunshine Eco Cleaning from any and all liabilities resulting in cleaning item(s). The client understands that they are responsible for replacing or repairing items even if Hello Sunshine Eco Cleaning may be responsible for the breakage or loss.

Right for Termination of Services

Should in any circumstance, we determine the need to terminate a single or future visit(s) we respectively uphold the right to do so. A notification/communication will be sent prior or upon date of any scheduled services.

Safety

We take safety very seriously, both of our staff and clients. We do not clean blood, vomit, urine, or excrement. These are biohazards and require proper disposal and cleaning. If any of our staff feels that their safety is at risk while on the job, they have full authority to leave. If this happens, the client will still be charged with the full cleaning price.
